According to Greek mythology, the first fig tree arose when Gaia – goddess of the Earth – turned her lover – the rebellious Sykeus – into a fig tree to hide him from the wrath of Zeus. Perfumer and philosopher James Heeley is inspired by this passionate myth to create the perfume Athenea, also known as Parfum des Dieux - the fragrance of the gods.
The key to its refreshing aroma is found in the fig tree and aquatic notes. But the melon is the icing on the cake that makes this perfume bright, cheerful and happy.
The Doric column drawn on the bottle label is the prelude to an elegant, green, solar and daytime aroma.
- Top notes: green leaves, galbanum
