The Blue Cocoon: no has probado nada igual

The Blue Cocoon: you've never tried anything like it

You won't find any wax fillers, artificial fragrances, or colorants in this jar. Its mesmerizing blue color comes entirely from the process of distillation of the tansy blue ; its scent of the myrrh , from the cocoa crude , from the geranium and the lavender wild; and, unlike conventional balms, The Blue Cocoon does not contain waxes, hence its extraordinary absorption and the ability to transport all its benefits to the deepest part of the skin.

99% of balms act only as a barrier and limit their action to the skin's surface. Hence the widespread belief that they clog pores. Instead, the entire contents of The Blue Cocoon are penetrable.

APPLY IT LIKE THIS

Water is an essential element in every beauty regimen (and it's free). Not only is it responsible for keeping your skin hydrated, it also acts as a vehicle for water-soluble nutrients. The Blue Cocoon is an ultra-concentrated formula, meaning it doesn't contain wax fillers or water, so you can add it for free. Just moisten your skin before applying.

“If you blended a jar of The Blue Cocoon with water in a blender, you'd get the most beautiful moisturizing and nourishing cream ever. But then you'd have to add an emulsifier, stabilizers, and all sorts of preservatives to keep the formula stable. What I've done instead is create this buttery oil that literally melts into your skin,” explains May Lindstrom.

The ideal amount? The equivalent of a blueberry (double the amount at night or if you're using it as a mask). You can use a spatula or turn your finger into one. To do this quickly and easily, May Lindstrom uses the back of her nail as a small palette knife, as you can clearly see in the following image.

The Blue Cocoon was formulated to melt at body temperature. It will melt in the palm of your hand, turning into a hypnotic blue oil. Through a massage Spread it all over your face, neck, and décolletage. This last area is especially important and one of the most overlooked. It's where blood flow is stimulated, allowing for expanded breathing and a greater sense of calm.

Enjoy your self-massage consciously, taking deep breaths. Relax your muscles with your fingers, massage your jaw, the eye contour—The Blue Cocoon is very effective at relieving puffiness—and don't forget to reach behind your ears, where skin plumpness begins. It's also an excellent option for maintaining the tone of your lips: apply a small amount and massage in using small circular motions. And if you're concerned about any lines or wrinkles, simply go to them and open them with your fingertips.

FAQS

How long does a jar last? It typically lasts between 5 and 10 months. The ideal amount per use is the equivalent of a blueberry, and repeat the application morning and night.

Has your The Blue Cocoon fallen apart? This skincare gem has been formulated to melt upon contact with the skin, which is why it absorbs so remarkably well and why it can melt in the summer. “Otherwise, we would have had to add large amounts of waxes, which would keep the product solid but also clog your pores.” Recovering it is very easy: close your The Blue Cocoon tightly and place it in a bowl, pour in a little boiling water. In a matter of minutes, it will become an oil. Place it in the refrigerator to solidify again. You can store it there during the warmer months.

Should I apply it before or after my moisturizer? You can do both, although if you apply The Blue Cocoon beforehand, you probably won't need it anymore. It also depends on how much you use. If you love your moisturizer and want to apply it on top, "I would go with cleansing (don't dry your skin with a towel and go straight to BCC, massage it in, and then apply the cream right on top."

Can it be used instead of a serum or eye contour? You could package The Blue Cocoon in a smaller jar, labeled eye cream, and it would be perfect. Eyes, lips, you can put it on all the delicate areas.

Can The Blue Cocoon be mixed with retinol or retinoic acid? Yes and yes. The Blue Cocoon is amazing with retinol. It's a loving and nourishing way to make it. It will help keep your skin a happy organ.

Is it suitable for use on skin with dermatitis or rosacea? “I originally formulated The Blue Cocoon for skin with dermatitis or rosacea like mine,” Lindstrom explains. “It helped me find beauty in a place that had been so painful for me,” she adds. This balm has an antihistamine response, helping relieve the itching and heat associated with these conditions. If you have a medical condition, please consult your doctor first.

MIXES

With several formulas from the May Lindstrom Skin collection in your hands, you'll begin to feel like a chef who can cook whatever your skin is asking for. Mix a little of this with a little of that until you become familiar with all the ingredients. Over time, they'll become like the ingredients in your soup. You'll know when it's time for a little more salt or a little more pepper.
